Fair Trade (Small) Freedom Chicken made from Recycled Plastic Bags (5cm)

A really great item made from recycled plastic carrier bags.  They vary in height and circumference but are all colourful, healthy looking chickens.

These vary such a lot in colour that it is impossible to describe, if you want this to fit into a particular colour scheme, let us know your preferences and we'll do our best. NB The 5cm, smallest ones are generally one colour only.

The supplier says: "The story goes that around ten years ago a famous French designer went on holiday to Southern Africa and spotted these 'freedom' chickens on the road side. Smitten by them, he ordered 1000 pieces to line the catwalk on one of his Parisian fashion shows. We are not sure if the chickens ever arrived in Paris but, nevertheless, we found the maker and have supported this talented group of township artisans for more than 6 years. The entire plastic range is made from recycled bags or factory over-runs."
