These high quality jean handbags from India are handmade from recycled Jeans, rubber tyres and car seatbelts. Each bag is fully lined (fresh new lining) with numerous separate compartiments (five or more) for Mobile phones etc and one inside wide zipped pocket makes the perfect gift! Meet the producers:

Thanks to Anita Ahuja, whose pioneering work transforms used materials into trendy textiles, beauty can still be found through recycling unwanted products. The non profit organization Anita established in Delhi in 1998, comprises teams of people who reclaim the plastic bags and other unwanted materials left on Delhi’s streets and deliver them to her workshop, where they are sorted and washed. Together with a team of traditional tailors, they cut and sew the non woven fabrics they create, producing fabulous fashion accessories. The products themselves are only a by-product of what Anita set out to do. Her aim wasn’t just to recycle Delhi’s unwanted products, but to help the rag pickers, a community of people that are the weakest and the poorest in Indian society. Many of them have limited access to education and health benefits, but the people who she supports are able to send their children to school and maintain a stable household.

I had to dig deep but it was well worth the money. Looks great when I'm glammed up or even when I'm in my "grubbies" ! Love it to bits and I've never seen anyone else with one like it - Bonus!!!

I had seen these just made out of jeans material and wanted something more unusual. These are beautifully made and sturdy, I use it as a courier type bag and sling it over my shoulder when I'm on the bike. Plus it's Fair Trade!

Bought this for my "Better" half and she just loves it to bits. Beautifully and strongly made with rubber tyre bits on the bottom so you can put it down. Very good price too! Impressed with the service too! Thanks.
