Fair Trade Small Leather Indian Elephant (Trunk up).

These Fair Trade Animals are handmade by skilled craftsmen in India and can take up to 3 weeks to make. The animals are crafted over a wire frame that is covered in rice grass and papier mache to provide the body contours of the animals.  It is then sun-dried before sheep and goats leather, a by-product of the food industry, is then stretched over the base. The animals are then hand painted and polished to form these stunning and durable life-like animals. Each one is boxed and approx 13cm (5¼") long x 13cm (5¼") high.
