Fair Trade Producer Details
GPI was established in 1985 as a family business producing handmade paper and paper products in Kathmandu. Paper is made from cotton and paper waste. GPI is now a co-operative and workers are involved in all aspects of decision-making through a number of committees. Wages and working conditions are very good here.

In addition the co-op makes loans available to workers so that they can invest in wider income generation activities GPI has also been very involved in social activities, including co-financing a local school, promoting girls¿ education, AIDS awareness, and environmental activities .
